Bellevue University was founded in 1966 as a private higher learning institution. They are a non-profit organization that is regionally accredited through the Higher Learning Commission. The main campus, which is in Bellevue, is 46 acres. There are additional campuses in Nebraska and other campuses spread throughout the four neighboring states. Over 50,000 students have graduated from Bellevue University. Every year, over 10,000 students attend their campuses and their robust distance education programs. There are international students from all of the world, many of which come through Bellevue University's partnership with Guangzhou University in China.
