In this article, we profile the top 30 most affordable online master’s in human resource management degree programs at private, nonprofit colleges.

Online master’s in human resource management programs are ideal for HR professionals looking to advance in their field. According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, the growth rate for employment of HR managers is expected to increase nine percent over the next eight years. Online options for earning a graduate degree in HR have expanded, and now some of the nation’s top private, nonprofit colleges offer this program.

We reviewed 62 colleges and universities that offered online master’s in human resource management degree programs online. Evaluating only national and regionally accredited institutions and selecting only colleges and universities with a graduate tuition and fees of $22,000 or less narrowed our initial pool of schools. Our data was collected from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES College Navigator). We then listed the schools in order of affordability. As an added indicator, we attempted to use only those schools and/or programs that had been recognized or ranked with a major publication like U.S. News and World Report.
