Brandman University has served adult students since 1958 by providing access to quality academic programs. Brandman University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates. They have online programs and many campuses spread throughout the states of California and Washington that serve approximately 12,000 students every year. Brandman University is actually part of California's Chapman University System that was founded in 1861. Brandman University Accreditation Details

Brandman University Application Requirements

Graduate school applicants must have a bachelor's degree earned from a regionally accredited institution. There are four graduate admissions options. First, students must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher that is based on the most recent 30 credit hours. Seconds, students may have a 2.50 to 2.99 GPA with a certain GRE, MAT or GMAT score. The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) results must reflect a minimum score of 141 for quantitative, 150 for verbal and 4.5 for analytic writing. The MAT (Miller Analogies Test) must show a minimum scaled score of at least 400. The GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) must equal at least 1000.

As a third alternative, students may have a regionally accredited master's degree. Student's whose GPA is below 2.50 must submit a professional portfolio that includes ample evidence of their accomplishments and academic acumen. This may contain a resume that contains professional developments, writing samples that demonstrate graduate level analytical and communication and professional letters of reference. Students may also include awards, professional recognitions and an essay that explains the justifiable reasons why the student believes they are a good candidate for the graduate program.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Students pursuing a graduate degree will pay $620 per credit hour. Members of the military will pay from $350 to $440 per credit hour. The financial aid that is available depends on the student's academic level and target program of study. Federally funded grants and loans are generally reserved for undergraduate students. A limited amount of federally funded loans are available for graduate programs. Private student loans are available to graduate students through a variety of sources, such as banks, credit unions and other financial firms. These loans are regulated by the federal government, but they are neither subsidized nor guaranteed by the government.

Eligibility for financial aid through institutional and outside scholarships is established through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application must be completed every to quality for financial aid. The Department of Education does offer low-interest loans to eligible graduate students through unsubsidized and Grad PLUS direct loans. The amount a graduate student may borrow is based on the cost of attendance and other financial aid available to the student. In order to become eligible for direct unsubsidized loans, students must be enrolled at least half-time in a program that results in a degree. Independent graduate students may qualify for up to $20,500 in unsubsidized loans.

After graduation, students will have excellent business acumen that will help them apply an integrated approach that aligns HR values with business strategies. Students will know how to collaboratively engage in strategic workforce planning with other managers to ensure that staffing levels and capabilities meet organizational needs. Students will take classes in talent management, which will help them source and screen job candidates, but also classes in interviewing techniques, which will help them maintain compliance with labor and discrimination laws. Students will study strategic leadership and learn how to build beneficial partnerships that help companies meet corporate legal, ethical and social responsibilities. Other classes include organizational research, legal leadership and leading organizational change.
