North Dakota State University's College of Human Development and Education offers an online master's in dietetics degree. NDSU collaborates with 10 other universities to deliver the program as part of the Great Plains & Interactive Distance Education Alliance. Faculty members from several universities may teach courses in the program, but students apply to and graduate from NDSU. The 36-credit MS in dietetics requires students to take courses like applied statistics; recent literature and research; and current issues in dietetics. Students also take 21 credits of electives and complete a six-credit thesis. The fully online degree does not require any on-campus coursework.
