  • Official undergraduate transcripts
  • GRE and TOFLEC (if needed) scores

Tuition and Financial Aid

Texas A&M University at College Station started a locked-rate tuition plan in 2014 to guarantee that students will pay the same published tuition rate every year of continuous matriculation. In general, the graduate tuition rate is $50 for Texas residents and $412 for non-residents per semester credit hour. Online courses follow a different pay scale though, because in-state and out-of-state students pay the same price. Rates vary based on program from $40 to $550 per semester credit hour. In the College of Education & Human Development, graduate students must afford $137 per semester credit hour in earning their online degree.

To help cover these expenses, Texas A&M automatically considers newly admitted students for added funding in their financial aid packages. Graduate students can borrow money through Stafford loans, Perkins loans, Graduate PLUS loans, or private loans, but these must be repaid with interest later on. Free gifted money may be available for financially needy students through the Pell Grant, FSEOG Grant, or TEACH Grant. State residents should also apply for the Towards Excellence Access and Success (TEXAS) Grant. TAMU scholarships are also abundant for new students, including the Presidents Endowed Scholarship, Academic Achievement Scholarship, McFadden Scholarship, and Opportunity Award.
