Founded in 1892 as Strayer's Business College, Strayer University enrolls approximately 40,000 through its online degree programs. The school operates 78 campuses in 15 states and Washington, D.C. More than 50 percent of enrolled Strayer students take all of their courses online, but students may also take either a fully campus-based program or a combination of both campus-based and online programs. Strayer specializes in undergraduate and graduate degrees for working adults and offers programs in fields such as public administration, information technology, health services administration, education, criminal justice, accounting and business administration. Strayer University Application Requirements

To qualify for admission to a master's degree program at Strayer University, students must submit a completed application form as well as proof of completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Applicants are also required to submit official copies of transcripts from all other universities or colleges they have previously attended. In addition, Strayer requires satisfactory performance in a minimum of one of the following areas: evidence of graduate potential via an interview with the Dean, a 2.75 out of 4.0 undergraduate GPA during the senior and junior years, a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score of 1,000 or better or a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of 450 or better.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Students pursuing an online Master's in Management degree from Strayer University can expect to pay $30,200 for the entire program's tuition and fees. The cost of books and supplies is around $1,800. Strayer University offers several forms of financial aid for eligible graduates such as loans and grants, and the school also offers a number of scholarships for veterans, active duty military, other service members and their spouses. Key courses in the leadership concentration include Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Women in Leadership, Leadership Strategies and Managing Organizational Change.

The 12-course Master of Science in Management with a Project Management focus helps students to master the ins and outs of managing and structuring business projects while developing an eye for project risk management. Students will explore the critical role of project leadership, the dynamics of team management and the lifecycle of projects. In addition, coursework will focus on effective project risk management and team leadership, and graduates will be able to describe the fundamentals of the process of project management. Upon graduation, students will have developed the skills necessary to master project management tools as well as the techniques necessary for minimizing, analyzing and identifying the risks that may impact projects. Key courses in the project management concentration include Project Risk Management, Project Management Leadership and Project Management.

Students who pursue a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Marketing Management will learn how to enhance and support business goals by developing the management skills necessary for companies to thrive in today's dynamic global markets. Students will use web-based business operations to develop effective marketing strategies, and they will apply the marketing planning process and developed strategy to fit a number of different socioeconomic environments. Students will also learn how to set pricing and product strategies, conduct customer and market research and manage projects, people and activities in communications and advertising. Finally, the M.S. in Management with a Marketing concentration will allow students the opportunity to use marketing principles in order to construct distribution, promotion, product management and pricing courses of action in order to successfully achieve a particular marketing objective. Key courses in the marketing management concentration include Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior and International Marketing.

Students may earn their Master of Science in Management degree completely online, taking classes at set times during weekends and evenings. Students will engage with a "virtual blackboard," hear live audio from their professor and be able to interact with their professor and classmates via live text messaging. Every class occurs completely on a student's schedule, making it easy for those with work or family commitments to further their education without taking time away from these obligations. Materials such as instructions, video presentations and recorded lectures are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
